500mm, coarse, non-woven, polypropylene, staple fibre geotextile combined with a polyester reinforcing mesh and coloured to blend naturally with the landscape for aesthetic appeal. Silt fence can be summarised as a coarse fibre geotextile and is placed vertically on posts to prevent sediment carried by water migrating downstream or down slopes. Effective during storm water run-off and commonly used at construction sites.
